Approximate head size 29" X 9"
This piece is a socketed pole arm with a thick back spine and well defined fore and back edge. The substance of the mid section of the blades provides an exceptional thrusting weapon and the unique guard provides a wide surface to parry and control your opponent's weapon.
A guard like this is not often seen and this example is based on a period illustration entitled "The Sack of the City". The use of these pole arms are seen in many illustrations from the period and it would have been a very common weapon.
