Two handed swords of this form are seen in the 16th through 17th century and can be seen depicted in images of battles. It is an exceptional sword to have in hand, the whole sword weighing approximately 5 and a half pounds. The length of the weapon requires the use of both hands for striking or one can lose their balance. The length of the blade is also an extreme advantage as a powerful blow can be delivered with the hands moving just a few inches in position. The tip moves several feet and can cleave large chuncks out of your target.
