Type XVII, straight guard with faceted scent stopper pommel.
This late 14th C sword is a nicely proportioned Type XVII blade starting at the hilt with a hexagonal cross section and transitioning to a diamond section as the width tapers steadily to an acute point. The hilt is blued with a dark oxblood leather and curly maple grip.
